Texas Caviar Dip

We had this dip at our cousin Brittany's bridal shower and it was so yummy! I called and harassed our aunt Pam for the recipe and tried it that very day. Listed below is what she gave me but as a personal note, the next time I make it, I will probably put less dressing because its flavor was a little overpowering and I wanted to taste the other wonderful ingredients.

1-16oz can black eyed peas (drained)
2 avocados (diced)
1 small can chopped olives
1-2 tsp minced garlic
1/2 red onion (finely diced)
1-14 1/2oz can diced tomatoes w/ green chili's
1-4oz can diced green chili's
8 oz zesty Italian dressing
(optional) jalepeno(diced)
salt and pepper to taste

Simply place all of these ingredients in a bowl, mix, and serve with chips!

Jubilee Jumbles

One of Sean"s favorite. It is similar to a sugar cookie, but it is a drop cookie, so a bit easier to make.
3 1/4 c flour
1 c brown sugar
1/2 c white sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 c evaporated milk
1/2 c shortening
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

If dough is too runny to drop then cover and refrigerate. Bake for 10 minutes at 375. Cool, frost, and enjoy.
